This alibizia is a true gem in the world or medicinal/healing extracts. Iβve ordered multiple times and it always has the ability to raise my vibrations no matter what Iβm doing. Iβm really hoping this product gets a 2oz offering sometime soon! Itβs very gentle and can subtly bring up energy and bring you out of darker states of mind if feeling anxious or depressed.
This stuff just keeps adding more to my life each time I try. Itβs so gentle but can really help on rougher days. When you need a bit of a boost or something to uplift your spirits. Like all of these medicines they can really help you find your flow if you allow them to :)
Albizzia bark in Chinese herbal medicine is known as he huan pi. Itβs actions are to calm the spirit, invigorate blood and most importantly, alleviate constraint. I didnβt know much about this concept of constraint before studying Chinese medicine but upon learning about it, I realized that this is my pattern. Recalcitrant, stuck depression. The qi of the liver needs to flow freely, thatβs one of itβs jobs . When it gets stuck, there is rib pain, breast pain, agitation, and depression (among other things). I drank heavily for many years because I got temporary relief from this stuckness as alchohol (in small amounts) invigorates blood and frees up liver qi, the problem is that over time, alcohol will make stagnation worse (which is why you need to keep drinking more to feel good). When I take this tincture- I feel myself unsticking, mostly in my diaphragm/subcostal area. Regular depression coupled with stress of grad school shuts me off- Iβm moody, unpleasant to be around, I can feel no joy. This is the stuck feeling. You can feel this working instantly- especially with some warm water. Maybe visualizing this stuck feeling will help you too? This plant has such a reputation, and for good reason.
Absolutely brilliant, happy medicine. Add gratitude and you have the makings of a beautiful morning.
